Calculating the maximum heart rate

You should know that for every individual there is a limit to the number of heart beats per minute, the maximum heart rate is calculated with a general formula : 220 - Age = Maximum heart rate.

For example, if you are 30 years old, then your maximum heart rate is: 220 - 30 = 190 beats per minute, that being the maximum number of beats your heart can perform in minute.

If we recommended you in our workouts to exercise at a 65% heart rate, you should be exercising at 190 * 0.65 = 124 beats per minute.
